• Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with State and Federal OSHA / DOT requirements.
• Prepare your vehicle for each service job to maximize efficiency (Stock all needed parts, supplies & tools, etc. for all daily assignments). Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance checks and required minor vehicle services. (check fluids, tire pressure, etc.)
• Engage in positive and professional customer interaction while at the work site to ensure complete customer service satisfaction.  
• Be prepared to observe and note potentially defective septic system components, excessive system build-up, and/or recommended system improvements or maintenance services to restore the customer’s system to full functionality. 
• Be prepared to recommend adequate maintenance service frequency to the customer.
• Be willing to learn to complete and submit quotes, invoices, and service documentation (Jobber app) to Bynum Septic management in a timely manner, as required.
• Be prepared to respond to trouble/emergency calls in a timely manner.

Work Environment

• You are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and non-volatile fumes.
• Must be comfortable working independently under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to engage with customers in a polite and professional manner.

• Must have a valid commercial driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and a clean MVR.
• Must hold a CDL – (Class B or Class A ) with the ability and willingness to obtain a tanker endorsement if requested.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to meet a DOT physical demands evaluation.
• At least one year of professional commercial driving experience (post-school).
• Ability to successfully Diagnose the following types of systems; Chamber system, Drip system and Eljen, and have the knowledge to repair them.
• Ability to understand and interpret work documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.
• Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines and job completion expectations. 
• Basic computer and device literacy including texting, email, and internet skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.

• Conduct thorough site visits and assessments to evaluate soil conditions, topography, and other relevant factors for drain field installations.
• Collaborate closely with customers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and soil reports to determine the appropriate drain field design and layout.
• Calculate the volume and dimensions of drain fields based on the projected wastewater flow and soil absorption rates.
• Estimate the quantity and cost of materials required for drain field construction, including pipe, chambers, and tanks. 
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates and proposals, considering labor, equipment, permits, and other project-related expenses.
• Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing septic system installations.
• Work collaboratively with the project management team, providing technical support during the construction phase.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in septic system design and drain field technologies to continuously enhance our services.

• State of Georgia certifications for Drip Emitter, Eljen, and Chamber systems, both Residential and Commercial, or a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a drain field estimator, septic system designer, or in a similar role within the septic industry.
• In-depth knowledge of septic system regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
• Proficient in interpreting construction plans, soil reports, and blueprints.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost estimation.
• Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and estimation tools.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.

• Collaborate with the project team to review construction plans and specifications for drain field installations.
• Perform excavation and site preparation work, ensuring proper grading and leveling for drain field installation.
• Install drain field components, including distribution boxes, perforated pipes, and gravel layers, according to the approved design.
• Assemble and connect pipes, fittings, and other necessary components to ensure proper flow and functionality.
• Install and configure septic system risers and covers for easy access and maintenance.
• Conduct proper backfilling and compaction of soil to restore the site to its original condition.

• Conduct routine maintenance and pumping of septic tanks, ensuring proper operation and preventing backups or overflows.
• Troubleshoot and repair septic system components, including pumps, floats, control panels, and distribution boxes.
• Utilize specialized equipment and tools to perform necessary repairs and replacements.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service calls, documenting findings and recommendations.

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of septic system components, functions, and maintenance requirements.
• Familiarity with local regulations and codes related to septic system installations and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve septic system issues.
• Proficiency in using specialized equipment and tools for septic system repairs and installations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
